As I said in my previous post, I was not very found of the text that my church uses for the kindergarten religious education. They used Who Am I? from Ignatius Press. The teacher editions really didn’t match the workbook that the children used and most of the work reinforced the basic kindergarten skills with limited access for the parents to see the real lesson that went with the activities. I really wish I could find a job as a textbook writer for kindergarten books because there is room for improvement. I supplemented many of my lessons with resources from other websites and even free samples from rival textbook companies. Although my church is catholic, I did use other christian sites as well.
Here are my resources for christian religious education in order of how often I used them:
- Catholic Icing – Best site ever!
- DLTK – Bible Activities
- DLTK – Sunday School Teacher’s Guides
- Faith First Activities
- Faith First – Teachers and Catechists Resources
- That Resource Site
- Paper Dali – Saints
- The Catholic Toolbox
- Catholic Kids from Catholic Mom
- St. John the Baptist – Catholic Coloring Pages
- Ponder In My Heart: Alphabet Coloring Pages
- Ministry-To-Children
